Updating amateur radio license

The General Class license is the second of three US Amateur Radio licenses.To upgrade to General Class, you must already hold a Technician Class license (or have recently passed the Technician license exam).

Applications will appear either the next business day in ULS Application Search or two businesses days later for applications filed on a weekend or federal holiday.Revocation of your station license or suspension of your operator license may result when correspondence from the FCC is returned as undeliverable because you failed to provide the correct mailing address.For an operator/primary station license, the application must be made on a FCC Form 605 (edition date of July 2005 or later).License renewals are allowed at 90 days or less before a license will expire, and when the license has expired but is still within the two-year grace period for renewal.Licenses that have been expired for more than two years are not eligible for renewal or reinstatement.Use purpose AU, Administrative Update, for an address or name change only and file the Main form only.
